Every year on April 22, people from all around the world come together to celebrate Earth Day. Over the years, it has grown into a global effort to protect our planet.
But it isn’t just one day anymore. April is now widely recognized as “Earth Month,” with weeks of events highlighting eco-friendly habits and meaningful community engagement.

Burlington Riverfront Earth Day
A community-focused Earth Day cleanup and improvement project. This year, volunteers can paint the promenade railing. You can bring a chair to enjoy lunch and music at noon after giving the waterfront a nicer look. The event is a fun way to make the environmental action visible.

Old Pine Farm Spring Wildflower & Invasive Species Walk
Participants can spend an afternoon searching for blooming wildflowers and helping remove invasive species. Tools will be available, or bring your own clippers. The event is open for all ages.

Sustainable Princeton Earth Day Celebration
The event turns the museum grounds into a lively environment with eco-friendly activities and creative energy. Guests can participate in outdoor yoga sessions, take garden tours, dance together, and even watch a “Trashion Show,” where participants model outfits made from recycled materials.

An in-person event focuses on sustainable fashion and community exchange. BioBlitz 2026: Discover Nature at Rowan University
BioBlitz 2026, an event running from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., with check-in at Rowan University’s Discovery Hall. The event invites attendees to identify and document plant and animal species within a specific area, in this case, Rowan University’s campus. Students, faculty, and community members work together to observe biodiversity, contributing valuable data that helps improve sustainability efforts and better understand native and invasive species.

Sound Planet Music Festival at Rowan University
The Sound Planet Music Festival was founded in 2023 to present impactful performances and learning opportunities focused on the climate and biodiversity crises. The “Arboretum Day Sensory Extravaganza” features an outdoor concert walk. Attendees will be guided on a tour of the Rowan University Arboretum & Gardens as musicians perform live from various points on the path.

Cape May County Earth Day Celebration

Camden County Air Quality Committee’s Green Tie Gala Fundraiser
A celebration of community action, environmental justice, and healthier futures for Camden County’s children. This year’s event will support two critical initiatives: expanding a network of real-time air quality monitors, especially around Camden schools, and helping districts secure electric school buses through state and federal funding programs.

A very large-scale event in Atlantic County will be featuring more than 150 vendors, crafters, food vendors, and exhibitors.
