Starting May 4, 2022, New Jersey will begin enacting a ban on single-use plastic carryout bags and polystyrene foam food containers from the state’s various pharmacies and restaurants, as well as its large grocery, retail, and convenience stores. Below is a video produced last December by journalism student Katie Amrhein, which explains how the ban will work.
